Back to Normal?

So the Buggs - aka Big T, aka Baby - is now six weeks old (as of yesterday). I haven't gone to my six week postpartum visit yet but I will soon. And doesn't that mean I'm supposed to be back to normal? 100% ready to retackle the chaos known as life? By the time baby is six weeks, most people aren't asking how you're doing or bringing meals or offering their services or telling you to take it easy. And don't get me wrong, I really don't think they need to be babying (heehee) me anymore. I just don't feel ready to be completely responsible again. To get my house clean, laundry done, meals made, etc. Most days I feel like this...

except with one more kid... I guess I've forgotten how different life is with a newborn. I'm trying to remember that this won't last, but I feel pretty grumpy when the day ends and nothing much has been done. My to-do list is like a mile long and not getting any shorter. When I had my first, even my second kid, I don't think I felt this behind on my life. But now there's more mouths to feed, more laundry to wash, more toys to clean up... Part of the problem is I am feeling pretty great. I want to be on my feet, putting my life back together. Silly newborn baby is cramping my style. :)

Sometimes I feel like the Bubbs, who said to me the other day, "Can't we just put baby T back in your belly?" Hmm... yeah, the whole pregnancy thing isn't looking so bad right about now...

BUT remind me that in a few short months she'll be on more of a schedule, I'll be getting used to taking four kids everywhere, the Bubbs will be in school (!), and we'll be making it. Just like we always do. And as long as you give me fifteen minutes notice before you come over to hurriedly throw everything in the closets tidy it up a bit, it'll all be good :)

Oh, here's pics of the Buggs at one month. And yeah, her hair has a reddish tint to it. Weird... not sure exactly where that's coming from but it would be fun if it stayed around!

Stay tuned... I've got some more great blog posts up my sleeve...

Yeah - say hello to the "new normal". :)

I think you're great.

I remember having a busy week and thinking "wow, glad that's over". Um, yeah, that's now how every week is. Still getting used to that one.

She is SOOO adorable! I feel your pain, too. There was something about the fourth baby that seemed to chop my legs off at the knees. A year later and I am STARTING to feel back in control of things. Good thing the little ones are worth it! ;)

Congratulations on your sweet baby! We have girls that are so close in age! Ours came on March 17th. Those pictures are darling. Are they taken in the hospital...she still has her band on? That was quite the labor story too! Isn't it amazing that they come any way they want...even baby number 4! Here is to getting back to normal! Oh...I can't waite to hear her name!

so related to your feelings about 4th baby. . .even now with her at 11 months I don't keep up with things like I feel like I should n the juggling act. (That feeling guilty that I will spend some time reading friends blogs when I should be cleaning.) I think it is just accepting that we love each other whether we are perfect housewives or not.

Your new baby is SO cute. Juan and I have enough trouble with handling our two I don't know how you bigger families do it. Seriously I think I'm a bit of a wuss.
